Karl Fischer Titration and Moisture Determination

A hands on programme covering the accurate measurement of water content in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, foods, fuels and industrial products using volumetric and coulometric Karl Fischer titration. Participants learn how sample matrix, reagent selection and technique influence results, and how to keep instruments reliable and repeatable across a busy analytical workload.

What you will be able to do

Explain the chemistry behind volumetric and coulometric Karl Fischer methods.
Select the correct reagent, cell and technique for different sample matrices.
Prepare and standardise titrant and verify instrument performance daily.
Handle difficult samples such as oils, powders and heat sensitive materials.
