Interpersonal Communication and Active Listening Skills

Much of the friction in African workplaces comes not from bad intentions but from poor day to day communication and weak listening. This course builds the interpersonal skills that help colleagues understand each other, resolve small tensions early and collaborate more smoothly. Delegates practise listening actively, reading non verbal cues and adapting their style to different people.

What you will be able to do

  • Apply active listening techniques that make others feel understood.
  • Read tone, body language and non verbal signals accurately.
  • Ask questions that clarify meaning and uncover real needs.
  • Adapt your communication style to different personalities.
  • Give and receive feedback without causing defensiveness.
  • Handle everyday misunderstandings before they escalate.
