Internal Communication Strategy for Corporate Teams

Poorly planned internal communication leaves South African employees confused about strategy, change and priorities, fuelling rumour and disengagement. This course teaches delegates to plan an internal communication strategy, choose appropriate channels and messages for different audiences, and write consistent internal content that keeps staff informed during normal operations and periods of organisational change.

What you will be able to do

  • Develop an internal communication plan aligned to organisational strategy and change initiatives.
  • Select appropriate channels for different messages, audiences and levels of urgency.
  • Write internal announcements, newsletters and change updates in a consistent organisational voice.
  • Sequence communication during periods of restructuring, merger or leadership change.
  • Measure whether internal messages have been read, understood and acted upon by staff.
  • Coordinate internal messaging with line managers so information reaches employees consistently.
