Insurance Fraud Detection and Claims Investigation

Train claims, underwriting and investigation teams to spot and investigate fraudulent insurance claims across short term, life and medical lines. The course covers staged accidents, inflated claims, syndicate activity and the indicators that separate genuine losses from fabricated ones. Delegates practise structured claim interviews and evidence gathering used by African insurers to reduce leakage while treating honest claimants fairly.

What you will be able to do

  • Recognise common fraud indicators across motor, property, life and medical claims.
  • Differentiate opportunistic exaggeration from organised syndicate fraud.
  • Plan and conduct structured claim investigation interviews.
  • Gather and preserve evidence that supports claim repudiation decisions.
  • Apply data analytics to flag suspicious claim patterns and networks.
  • Balance fraud control with fair treatment of legitimate claimants.
