Industrial Robotics and Automated Production Line Maintenance

As African manufacturers adopt robots and automated lines, they need technicians who can keep these systems running safely and precisely. This programme covers the mechanical, electrical and control aspects of industrial robots and integrated production lines. Participants learn safe interaction with automation, calibration and mastering, and structured fault finding across robots, sensors and conveyors.

What you will be able to do

  • Describe the main types of industrial robots and how automated lines are integrated.
  • Apply safety practices for working on and around automated and robotic systems.
  • Maintain robot mechanical joints, drives and cabling to preserve accuracy.
  • Carry out calibration and mastering to restore positioning after repairs.
  • Diagnose faults across robots, sensors, actuators and line controls.
  • Plan preventive maintenance that limits disruption to automated production.
