HR Skills for Line Managers and Supervisors

Equip supervisors and line managers with the practical HR skills they are expected to use daily but were never taught. Delegates practise conducting a fair disciplinary enquiry, giving difficult performance feedback, managing absenteeism and recognising when a situation must be escalated to HR, closing the gap between company policy and what actually happens on the shop floor.

What you will be able to do

Apply basic disciplinary procedure correctly at first line level.
Conduct a performance conversation that is specific and defensible.
Recognise the early signs of a grievance or conflict situation.
Manage absenteeism and time keeping issues within policy.
Identify situations that must be escalated to HR or a specialist.
Document workplace incidents in a way that supports later action.
