Geographic Information Systems for Municipal Planning and Service Mapping

This course introduces municipal officials to practical geographic information systems for spatial planning, infrastructure mapping and service delivery decisions. Participants learn to build and maintain spatial data layers for properties, networks and facilities, and to produce maps that support planning, revenue and maintenance functions. The programme emphasises affordable tools and data governance suited to municipalities with limited GIS capacity.
