Fraud Risk Assessment and Anti-Fraud Control Design

Enable risk, audit and finance teams to map fraud exposures across the organisation and design controls that actually prevent loss. The programme covers building a fraud risk register, scoring likelihood and impact, and matching preventive and detective controls to each scheme. Delegates complete a practical fraud risk assessment for a sample business unit and leave with a reusable methodology suited to African operating environments.

What you will be able to do

  • Build a fraud risk universe covering asset, procurement and payroll schemes.
  • Score fraud risks by likelihood, impact and existing control strength.
  • Match preventive and detective controls to specific fraud scenarios.
  • Identify control gaps and overrides that enable management fraud.
  • Design monitoring indicators that flag emerging fraud activity.
  • Present a fraud risk assessment and remediation plan to leadership.
