Fleet Decarbonisation and Sustainable Transport Management

Vehicle fleets are a major and rising source of fuel cost and emissions for African businesses, from delivery vans to mine haulage and staff transport. This course helps fleet and operations managers cut fuel use, plan for cleaner vehicles and manage the transition without disrupting service. Delegates leave with a practical roadmap for a lower carbon, lower cost fleet.

What you will be able to do

  • Measure fleet fuel use, cost and emissions as a baseline for action.
  • Apply driver behaviour, routing and maintenance measures that cut fuel use.
  • Compare cleaner fuel and electric vehicle options for different duty cycles.
  • Assess charging, refuelling and infrastructure needs for alternative vehicles.
  • Build a business case for phased fleet transition and renewal.
  • Develop a fleet decarbonisation roadmap for an organisation.
