Fleet and Mobile Plant Maintenance Management

Haul trucks, forklifts, loaders and light vehicles keep mines, farms and logistics operations moving, and their maintenance is often managed separately from fixed plant with weaker planning discipline. This programme covers fleet maintenance scheduling, tyre management, fluid analysis and mobile equipment inspection, helping fleet and maintenance managers reduce breakdowns and extend mobile asset life across demanding operating conditions.

What you will be able to do

  • Design service schedules for mobile plant based on hours, kilometres or manufacturer intervals.
  • Apply tyre inspection, rotation and pressure management practice to extend tyre life.
  • Use fluid and oil analysis to detect engine, transmission and hydraulic wear trends.
  • Carry out pre-use inspections that identify mobile equipment defects before they cause failure.
  • Manage maintenance records and compliance documentation for a mixed mobile fleet.
  • Analyse fleet downtime data to prioritise maintenance and replacement decisions.
