Facilitation and Meeting Management Skills for Team Leaders

Poorly run meetings drain time and morale across South African organisations, with unclear agendas, dominant voices and no decisions at the end. This course equips delegates to plan purposeful meetings, facilitate balanced discussion, manage difficult participants and close with clear actions. Delegates practise facilitating both in person and online sessions common in today's hybrid workplaces.

What you will be able to do

  • Decide when a meeting is needed and set a clear purpose and agenda.
  • Facilitate discussion so quieter voices are heard and dominant ones are managed.
  • Keep a meeting on track, on time and focused on its outcomes.
  • Guide a group toward decisions and record clear actions and owners.
  • Handle conflict, tangents and difficult participants calmly.
  • Apply facilitation techniques to both in person and virtual meetings.
