Ethics Management and Building an Ethical Culture

Supports ethics officers and social and ethics committees to move from a written code to a lived ethical culture. Participants learn to assess ethics risk, run awareness campaigns and measure culture in ways that satisfy King IV and stakeholder expectations. The programme uses South African examples where weak culture, not weak policy, allowed misconduct to take root.

What you will be able to do

  • Assess the ethics risks and cultural pressures facing your organisation.
  • Translate a code of ethics into practical standards and decision guides.
  • Design ethics awareness and training campaigns that change behaviour.
  • Measure ethical culture using surveys, indicators and case data.
  • Support the social and ethics committee with meaningful reporting.
  • Manage ethics breaches and consequence management fairly and consistently.
