Ethical Leadership and Corporate Governance

Governance failures and ethical lapses have damaged public trust in organisations across South Africa, placing pressure on managers at every level to model integrity rather than simply comply with policy. This course covers practical ethical decision making, governance principles, conflicts of interest and building a culture where employees feel safe raising concerns before problems escalate.

What you will be able to do

  • Apply a structured framework for making decisions in ethically ambiguous situations.
  • Identify and manage conflicts of interest within a team or department.
  • Explain core corporate governance principles relevant to a management role.
  • Build a team culture where employees feel safe raising ethical concerns.
  • Respond appropriately to reports of misconduct or suspected wrongdoing.
  • Model consistent ethical behaviour that withstands scrutiny under pressure.
