Environmental Health and Municipal Health Services Management

This course focuses on the municipal health function and the delivery of environmental health services that protect public health in South African communities. Participants examine food safety inspection, water quality monitoring, waste and sanitation oversight, and the control of health nuisances within the district and metropolitan mandate. The programme strengthens the planning, inspection and enforcement skills needed to run an effective and legally sound environmental health service.
