Emotional Intelligence for Leaders

Managers who read a room well tend to keep good people and defuse conflict before it spreads. Self-awareness, regulating your own reactions under pressure, and reading the emotional currents of a South African team are the focus. Practical exercises replace theory, with feedback drawn from real workplace situations.

What you will be able to do

  • Recognise your own emotional triggers and the patterns they create in a team.
  • Manage strong reactions during difficult conversations without shutting down or lashing out.
  • Read verbal and non-verbal signals to gauge how staff are actually coping.
  • Adjust your communication style to match the person and the moment.
  • Build trust across differences in culture, language and background.
  • Turn conflict between colleagues into a workable resolution.
