Emergency Breakdown Response and Rapid Repair Techniques

When critical equipment fails without warning, the speed and quality of the maintenance response decides how much production is lost. This programme sharpens the breakdown response skills of maintenance teams on African production and process sites. Delegates learn to assess a breakdown calmly, diagnose the fault quickly, apply safe temporary and permanent repairs and restore equipment without creating new problems.

What you will be able to do

  • Assess a breakdown situation quickly while keeping safety in control.
  • Apply rapid, structured diagnosis to find the failure cause.
  • Choose between temporary holding repairs and full permanent repairs.
  • Execute common emergency repair techniques safely and effectively.
  • Coordinate spares, resources and communication during a breakdown.
  • Capture breakdown information to feed follow up and prevention.
