Effective Written Communication for Supervisors and Team Leaders

Newly promoted supervisors and team leaders across African workplaces suddenly have to write instructions, shift reports, warnings and updates that keep operations running and people informed. Many were promoted for technical skill, not writing. This course gives frontline leaders the practical written communication skills to instruct clearly, report upward and keep their teams aligned.

What you will be able to do

  • Write clear work instructions and handover notes teams can follow.
  • Produce concise shift, incident and progress reports for management.
  • Communicate expectations and feedback to team members in writing.
  • Draft basic records for absenteeism, performance and conduct correctly.
  • Pass information up and down the line accurately and promptly.
  • Adjust tone to stay firm, fair and professional.
