Earned Value Management and Project Performance Measurement

Most South African project reports tell sponsors how much has been spent but not whether the money bought the progress it should have. This course teaches earned value management as a practical way to measure schedule and cost performance together, so teams can forecast the final cost and completion date early enough to act. Worked examples use local capital, infrastructure and public sector projects rather than abstract theory.

  • Build a performance measurement baseline that links scope, schedule and budget into one control system.
  • Calculate earned value, planned value and actual cost and interpret what each figure reveals.
  • Analyse schedule and cost variances and translate them into decisions sponsors can act on.
