E-Discovery and Electronic Evidence Management for Legal Teams

Modern disputes and investigations turn on emails, chat messages, spreadsheets and system logs, yet mishandled electronic evidence is easily challenged or lost. This course teaches legal and compliance teams how to identify, preserve, collect and review electronic evidence defensibly. Delegates work through legal holds, collection from cloud and mobile sources, and review workflows suited to African organisations.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain the e-discovery lifecycle from legal hold to production.
  • Issue and manage legal holds to prevent data spoliation.
  • Identify and preserve evidence across email, chat, mobile and cloud sources.
  • Collect electronic evidence in a defensible, forensically sound manner.
  • Structure document review workflows to control cost and privilege.
  • Prepare electronic evidence for disclosure and use in proceedings.
