Design Thinking and Innovation for Project Teams

Projects that solve the wrong problem deliver perfectly and still fail their users. This course brings design thinking into project work so teams understand real needs before committing to a solution. Delegates learn to test ideas cheaply and early, which is especially valuable for the service delivery and product projects growing across Africa.

What you will be able to do

  • Frame the real problem a project should solve before jumping to solutions.
  • Gather user and stakeholder insight through observation and interviews.
  • Generate and prioritise a range of possible solution ideas.
  • Build low cost prototypes to test ideas before full investment.
  • Run experiments that validate assumptions early in the project.
  • Blend design thinking with structured project delivery without losing either.
