Defect Elimination and Bad Actor Management

Every plant has a handful of equipment items that fail again and again, quietly consuming a large share of the maintenance budget. This programme shows maintenance and reliability teams how to find these bad actors, run structured defect elimination, and prove the results in downtime and cost terms. Delegates leave with a repeatable method suited to African operations with limited resources.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain how chronic defects erode plant reliability and budget.
  • Rank equipment to identify the true bad actors from failure data.
  • Run structured defect elimination on selected problem equipment.
  • Distinguish quick fixes from lasting engineering and process solutions.
  • Measure and report the downtime and cost benefit of defect elimination.
  • Sustain a defect elimination routine within the maintenance team.
