Safety Auditing and Management System Review

An internal safety audit that only checks whether files are present misses the operational gaps that actually cause incidents. This course builds practical audit skills covering evidence gathering, interviewing on the floor, scoring against a recognised framework and writing findings that management acts on rather than an audit report that gets filed alongside the last one.

What you will be able to do

  • Plan a safety audit scope and schedule appropriate to the site and its risk profile.
  • Gather evidence through document review, floor observation and employee interviews.
  • Score findings against a recognised safety management system framework.
  • Distinguish a genuine nonconformance from a documentation gap during an audit.
  • Write audit findings and corrective action requests that management can act on.
  • Track corrective action close out and verify effectiveness at a follow up audit.
