Procurement Savings Tracking and Benefits Realisation

Procurement teams across Africa are increasingly asked to prove the value they deliver, yet claimed savings often evaporate before they reach the budget. This course gives buyers and procurement leaders a rigorous method to define, calculate, validate and track savings so that benefits are real and credible to finance. Delegates learn to distinguish hard cost reductions from cost avoidance and to sustain savings after the deal closes.

What you will be able to do

  • Define savings categories including hard savings, cost avoidance and value gains.
  • Calculate baselines and savings using consistent, auditable methods.
  • Validate procurement savings jointly with finance and budget holders.
  • Track realised benefits through to the budget over the contract life.
  • Build a savings pipeline and reporting dashboard for leadership.
  • Guard against savings leakage and off contract erosion.
