Plastering, Painting and Interior Finishes Quality Supervision

Finishes are what the client sees first, and hairline cracks, patchy paint and drummy plaster quickly undermine confidence in an otherwise sound building. This course helps supervisors control plastering, painting and dry interior finishes to a consistent standard. It covers substrate preparation, materials, application methods and the inspection checks that reduce callbacks during the defects period.

What you will be able to do

  • Assess substrate readiness before plastering and painting begin.
  • Control plaster mixes, thickness and curing to prevent cracking.
  • Specify and check paint systems for interior and exterior conditions.
  • Supervise ceilings, partitions and dry lining installation.
  • Apply finish tolerances and inspection checklists on site.
  • Manage sequencing and protection to avoid finish damage.
