Marine, Jetty and Coastal Infrastructure Construction

Africa's ports, harbours and coastal towns depend on marine structures built in one of the harshest environments for concrete and steel. This course introduces the construction of jetties, quays, breakwaters and coastal protection and the special methods the sea demands. It focuses on the planning, marine works and durability measures that keep these structures standing against tide, wave and salt.
