Lift, Escalator and Vertical Transport Installation Coordination

Lifts and escalators sit on the critical path of most multi storey buildings, yet their shafts and builder work are often set out badly and cause costly delays. This course helps construction teams coordinate the builder work, power supply and interfaces that vertical transport specialists depend on. It is aimed at African high rise, retail and institutional projects where reliable vertical movement is essential.

What you will be able to do

  • Interpret lift and escalator shop drawings and builder work requirements.
  • Coordinate shaft dimensions, pits, headroom and machine spaces.
  • Manage power supply, lighting and communications provisions.
  • Sequence specialist installation within the construction programme.
  • Oversee safety controls during installation and testing phases.
  • Support inspection, load testing and handover of equipment.
