Humanitarian and Relief Supply Chain Management

When floods, drought or displacement strike across the continent, relief supply chains decide who receives help and how fast. This course prepares logistics and procurement staff to move goods under pressure, with limited infrastructure and strict donor accountability. Delegates learn rapid procurement, prepositioning, last mile distribution and the transparency that humanitarian funding demands.

What you will be able to do

  • Apply rapid procurement methods that remain accountable under pressure.
  • Plan prepositioning of relief stock for likely emergencies.
  • Manage last mile distribution in areas with weak infrastructure.
  • Coordinate logistics across agencies, government and local partners.
  • Maintain traceability and donor reporting for relief goods.
  • Balance speed, cost and integrity during emergency response.
