Fuel and Energy Procurement for Fleet and Operations

Fuel and electricity are among the largest and most volatile costs facing African fleets, plants and mines, and load shedding has pushed diesel and generator spend even higher. This course helps buyers structure fuel supply agreements, manage energy contracts and control consumption. Delegates learn to benchmark pricing, guard against theft and build resilience against supply and tariff shocks.

What you will be able to do

  • Structure fuel supply agreements that manage price volatility and rebates.
  • Evaluate energy and generator contracts against consumption and tariff data.
  • Design controls that reduce fuel theft, shrinkage and unauthorised use.
  • Benchmark fuel and energy pricing against market indices and peers.
  • Assess alternative and renewable energy options for operational sites.
  • Build contingency plans for fuel shortages and grid interruptions.
