Fire Detection and Suppression Systems Installation Supervision

Fire systems are only trusted when they are installed exactly to design and proven to work on the day they are needed. This course covers the site supervision of detection, alarm, sprinkler and suppression installations and their integration with building operations. It draws on African building regulation expectations and the practical challenge of coordinating fire systems with a busy construction programme.

What you will be able to do

  • Interpret fire system drawings, zones and cause and effect matrices.
  • Supervise installation of detection, alarm and sprinkler components.
  • Check pipework, sprinkler heads, detectors and cabling routing.
  • Coordinate fire systems with other trades and escape routes.
  • Support testing, commissioning and integration with building controls.
  • Compile installation records and readiness evidence for handover.
