Digital Safety Management and Incident Reporting Systems

Many African organisations still run safety on paper registers and spreadsheets that hide trends until an incident forces a review, while mobile phones sit in every worker's pocket unused for reporting. This course helps safety teams move to digital tools for hazard reporting, inspections, actions and analytics without losing control of the data. It focuses on selecting, implementing and getting genuine use out of a safety management system.

What you will be able to do

  • Map current safety workflows and where paper based processes fail.
  • Define requirements for hazard reporting, inspections and action tracking.
  • Evaluate mobile and desktop safety software against those requirements.
  • Plan a rollout that earns frontline adoption rather than resistance.
  • Use dashboards and leading indicators to drive proactive decisions.
  • Manage data quality, access and privacy in the safety system.
