Dewatering and Groundwater Control on Construction Sites

Groundwater turns straightforward excavations into unstable, dangerous and expensive problems when it is not properly controlled. This course covers dewatering methods, pumping, well points and the management of water on excavation and basement sites. It addresses African conditions from high water tables in coastal cities to seasonal rains that flood open works overnight.
