Cyber Risk Oversight for Boards and Executives

Directors and executives are increasingly held accountable for cyber incidents they may not fully understand. This course translates technical cyber risk into the language of strategy, finance and reputation so senior leaders can ask the right questions. Participants examine recent African breach cases and learn how to challenge management, allocate resources and steer the organisation through a serious incident.

What you will be able to do

  • Interpret cyber risk in terms of business impact, liability and reputation.
  • Ask probing questions of technical teams without needing deep technical detail.
  • Assess whether cyber investment and insurance match the organisation's risk appetite.
  • Clarify board, executive and management responsibilities for cyber resilience.
  • Guide the organisation through the decisions required during a major incident.
  • Oversee disclosure and regulatory obligations after a breach.
