Contractor Safety Management and Site Induction

A client organisation remains liable for a contractor's safety failure long after the invoice is paid, yet many sites still induct contractors with a signature on a form nobody reads. This course builds pre-qualification screening, induction content that actually transfers site specific hazards, permit alignment with contractor scopes and the ongoing monitoring needed once contractors are working alongside permanent staff.

What you will be able to do

  • Screen prospective contractors on safety history and management system evidence before award.
  • Design a site induction that transfers real site specific hazards rather than generic content.
  • Align contractor method statements and risk assessments with the client's own permit system.
  • Monitor contractor safety performance throughout a contract rather than only at induction.
  • Clarify shared duties and liability between client, principal contractor and subcontractors.
  • Close out a contract with a documented safety performance review and lessons learned.
