Construction Project Scheduling and Programme Management

This course builds practical skills in developing, resourcing and controlling construction programmes from tender stage through to practical completion. Participants learn to build logic linked network programmes, identify the critical path, allocate labour and plant resources, and track progress against baseline using earned value concepts, giving site and contracts teams a reliable tool for keeping projects on schedule.

What you will be able to do

  • Construct a logic linked construction programme using activities, durations and dependencies.
  • Identify the critical path and float available on non critical activities.
  • Allocate labour, plant and material resources across a construction programme.
  • Update and re-baseline programmes to reflect actual progress and approved changes.
  • Apply earned value concepts to measure schedule performance objectively.
  • Communicate programme status and forecast completion dates to clients and site teams.
