Construction Plant Operator Supervision and Productivity

Heavy plant is one of the largest costs and biggest hazards on a construction site, and idle or misused machines quietly erode margins. This course helps supervisors get safe, productive work from excavators, loaders, dozers and rollers and the operators who run them. It is tailored to African earthworks and civil sites where plant availability and fuel are major concerns.

What you will be able to do

  • Match plant selection to the task and ground conditions.
  • Supervise operators for safe and productive machine use.
  • Plan plant movements, exclusion zones and pedestrian safety.
  • Monitor productivity, cycle times and fuel consumption.
  • Enforce daily checks, maintenance and defect reporting.
  • Coach operators to improve output and reduce damage.
