Construction Foreman and Frontline Supervisor Development Programme

The foreman turns the site agent's plan into daily work at the workface, yet most are promoted for their trade skill with little training in leading people. This programme builds the planning, supervision and people skills a frontline construction supervisor needs. It is practical and site focused, drawing on the mixed and often multilingual crews common on African construction sites.

What you will be able to do

  • Plan and allocate daily work to gangs and trades.
  • Supervise workmanship and quality at the workface.
  • Lead, motivate and discipline a construction crew.
  • Enforce safe work methods and housekeeping on site.
  • Control materials, plant and small tools against waste.
  • Keep accurate site records and report progress upward.
