Cloud Security and Risk Management for Enterprises

South African organisations increasingly host core systems on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, often before security controls catch up. This course equips IT and risk teams to assess cloud configurations, close common misconfiguration gaps, and manage vendor risk across multi cloud environments. Participants work through real breach scenarios drawn from regional banking, retail and telecom incidents to build practical, defensible cloud security practices.

What you will be able to do

  • Assess the shared responsibility model across major cloud providers to identify where organisational accountability begins.
  • Configure identity and access management controls to limit privilege creep in cloud environments.
  • Evaluate vendor contracts and service level agreements for hidden security and data residency risks.
  • Apply monitoring and logging practices to detect unauthorised access to cloud workloads.
  • Design a cloud incident escalation process aligned to the organisation's existing risk framework.
  • Build a practical roadmap for migrating legacy systems to the cloud without introducing new vulnerabilities.
