Civil Roads and Stormwater Construction Supervision

Layer works, pipe bedding and compaction either meet the specification or they fail an audit and a rainy season. Supervising road and stormwater construction covers earthworks, layer preparation, surfacing and drainage, with the setting out, testing and record keeping that a resident engineer and the client's auditors will check.

What you will be able to do

  • Interpret road layer works drawings, longitudinal sections and standard specifications.
  • Supervise earthworks, layer preparation and compaction against density requirements.
  • Check setting out, levels and layer thicknesses before the next layer is placed.
  • Oversee stormwater pipe laying, bedding, backfill and structure construction.
  • Apply material sampling and testing frequencies and read the results correctly.
  • Keep site diaries, test records and quantity measurements that support payment and audit.
