Carbon Accounting and Environmental Cost Reporting for Finance Teams

Carbon taxes, border adjustment mechanisms and customer disclosure demands are pushing environmental data squarely onto the finance agenda across African markets. This course equips finance teams to measure emissions, cost environmental impacts and report them alongside financial results with the same rigour. Participants learn to turn carbon and resource data into decisions that reduce both cost and exposure.

What you will be able to do

  • Explain the drivers making carbon a finance responsibility.
  • Measure greenhouse gas emissions across the three reporting scopes.
  • Attach costs to carbon, energy, water and waste impacts.
  • Prepare environmental cost information for internal decisions.
  • Align carbon reporting with financial reporting cycles.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities from resource efficiency.
