Delegates dissect real style statements prepared under IFRS, trace the numbers between the three primary statements, and learn to spot the accounting choices that quietly flatter reported performance before a credit committee sees them.

  • Trace a transaction through the statement of financial position, profit or loss and cash flow statement.
  • Interpret the accounting policies note to understand the judgements behind reported figures.
  • Calculate and interpret profitability, liquidity, gearing and efficiency ratios as a connected set.
  • Reconcile reported profit to operating cash flow and explain the gaps.
  • Identify common earnings management signals such as revenue timing and provision movements.
  • Present a concise financial health assessment to a board or credit committee.
